I would not count the people who came on the bus and became geodecians in the fast track workshop as tourists.
In the case of SR perhasp steve at the shop and the american students could be seen as acidental tourists who got something out of it.
I am thinking more about the expo and heron corn mill, I don't think they were that bad, just that I had higher expectations for peoples engagement than how it turned out. I Guess these disapointments are part of the project but we must learn from them. Like the public discussions and visioning etc that we decided to give up on as it did not work. In the end I think it is a shame that gatherings such as the pizza night at the SR did not work out. Good to try and base things around Geodecian food, the meal worked well in the fast track process....

Maybe we could have a new page on the wiki for developing the proposal?
Doesn't need to be linked in to anywhere else, and private (geodecians only)

I like the blog post by the way. Should we try to blog after every meeting even if we can not generate an image in a situation such as now?

I liked the writeboard thing we used for the school opp application, we could use that?

I'm not yet sure where I would be able to go with an idea (beyond the line I suggested just now). I'm also short of time at the moment and it isn't in my top priorities, so I can't make a commitment to developing anything (especially starting things off).

Like the idea of using the a wiki page to develop an application
Like the possibility of more reflective individual thoughts, r&d being posted on the blog to keep it more regular

I am happy with either the writeboard or the wiki - whoever wants to start it, can set it up, I am fine with working/contributing to either

Like the public discussions and visioning etc that we decided to give up on as it did not work. I think it worked (sort of) when I did it at the Expo (or maybe people were pacified by the cold - but then again, it somehow help to get us Parks Primary...)

So does anyone have time to start the application? And where do we go from here?

I need to conclude this meeting soon. I can work on something for the application next week, just need to agree where we are to do it. But I am stuggling with getting past selling the idea of the project being there, there seems to be a lack of detailed ideas about what we would actually do there that would be of interest to an outside group.

I also like the idea of the blog as developing into a space that documents Geodecian thinking as well as doing, anyone want to blog about this forum and any ideas that emerge from that?

I don't mind doing a short blog post about developing this line of thinking for Mannheim.
If no one appears to of set up and started work on the application by the time I have time to do it next week I will do it.
Good Night
