Emergency is at the Greenroom in Manchester, which has a little black box for performances, a bar and a mezanine and several hidden spots for things to take place. When I was there 2 years ago they had an intervention event in the bar which was quite good fun, but it was more performative than TGP. I could imagine TGP working within it, although it would have to work around the rest of the programme, as they do timetable the performances to get lots of work in.

nothing has been decided about what the possible emergency event could be, that is why I thought we could talk about it. I was going to re work the EVENT application originally but that idea seemed less popular at the last meeting. People wanted to focus on dedicated members of the orginal community rather than attracting lots of new ones that might not do anything.

Raymond, are you talking about doing something at the Simon and Tom Bloor thing? Greenroom is in Manchester.

Raymond: Hokum also pointed out the utopian desgin library on a canal boat in Birmingham, so certain members are aware of it. Going there and spending time on it as Geodecians is a nice idea.

Personally I am more interested in the interactions that occurred during the sign-up action at DCA, than the potential of an isolated game of beachball mini-pig, I also think that from past experience the sign-up action could work in and around the Emergency event than beachball mini-pig

I was thinking about the emergency TGP action being out on the street or in a Manchester city center grassy area like outside Urbis or Picadilly gardens, places with a public foot fall as well as a space to play in.

Emergency events don't usually go that far afield, do they?

or feedback on the forum... I saw some images from the opening and they looked pretty dull, but maybe it was just the images.

Hokum: Make sure you go in you tabard then won't you. Personally I would rather have a Geodecity meet up on that canal boat than do anything for emergency, as they are both unpaid options.
