maybe we could either go to Cannon Hill Park, which has a cafe and lots of space, but 30 mins walk from town
or the peace gardens which is in town more

just out of interest, has it been decided when a Geoffrey starts and ends? Is it on the anniversary of D:G? It is quite unclear, but my current understanding is that UG is 1 Geoffrey after D:G, so whenever it is will determine the length of a Geoffrey. But you could do it the other way, determine the length of a Geoffrey and then plan the UG for that date....
